New York Skin Solutions Beauty Tips Come From A Few Different Sources: Here’s What You Might Be Missing Out!

There are many steps to take if your goal is to become more beautiful, and they involve a lot more than the latest fashion wear or a great hairstyle. It is pointless spending hours on your eyebrows and the rest of your face if you didn’t get enough rest the night before. Some women believe that the color of their lipstick will determine how many people give them a second look and while that may be true in some instances, making yourself beautiful is about the entire package. If long term beauty is what you are after here are just a few tips to help you achieve that goal.

Tips And Tricks

It is the simplest things that make the most difference when it comes to beauty, which is a concept that evades some people. For instance,

► Make sure that the lipstick you choose does not clash with the clothes you wear.

► When focusing on an eyeliner think about using liquid for an appearance that professionally stands out.

► Do not forget your nails and remember to match your color as with your lipstick.

► Spend a few minutes grooming your eyelashes as this will accentuate your eyes.

► Cover up any marks or unwanted distractions on your neck.

All natural

The good news is that improving your looks through a variety of traditional steps will not necessarily increase your budget, especially since natural options have shown positive results. Begin by increasing your water intake and as challenging as that task may seem, remember that many of the nutrients that your skin depends on come with the help of water. Loaded with vitamin E, which is also important for your skin, apply Aloe Vera directly to your skin to help moisten it.

Facial Pigmentation During Pregnancy: Cause, Prevention, and Cure

Melasma, or the mask of pregnancy, is an embarrassing discoloration of the face. Dark, irregular areas slowly appear on the cheeks and nose. Sometimes they also form on the upper lip and forehead. This discoloration most commonly appears during pregnancy, but it can also appear on women taking oral contraceptives or hormonal replacement therapy.

Melasma is thought to be the result of female hormones sensitizing the pigment-producing cells to sunlight. Melasma requires both female hormones and exposure to sunlight to develop. It usually develops slowly as the cells respond to the double stimulation by gradually producing more pigment (melanin). Of course, not all women develop melasma during pregnancy.

Women with light brown skin who live in areas with intense sunlight are those most likely to develop melasma. A genetic predisposition and thyroid disorders can also contribute to the development of melasma.

Clinical Course

In most women, the discoloration will gradually fade away over the course of several months after giving birth or after discontinuing the hormone-containing medication.

Any sun exposure at all during this period will intensify the discoloration and delay the eventual fading of the mask. Some women retain the discoloration for years after it forms.

Sun Exposure

The best treatments for pigmentation of this type involve avoiding sun exposure. Any pregnant woman who notices the beginning stages of melasma can prevent it from progressing by diligently avoiding the sun. Once the pigmentation has developed, no treatment will be successful unless sun exposure is successfully stopped. Staying indoors, wearing hats, and always using broad-spectrum sunscreens that include both chemical agents and physical blockers such as zinc oxide are necessary to stop the cells from producing more melanin.

Applying depigmenation creams that contain hydroquinone can fade the color away. Hydroquinone blocks an enzyme called tryosinase that is essential for formation of melanin. The safety of hydroquinone use during pregnancy and while breast-feeding is unclear; therefore, to be completely safe, it is best avoided until the infant is weaned. This complication makes hydroquinone rather difficult to use to treat melasma caused by pregnancy.

Chemical Peels

An alternative to hydroquinone is a glycolic acid peel. Glycolic acid is derived from fruits and is thought to be quite safe to use during pregnancy and breast-feeding. A glycolic acid peel removes the outer layer of skin, including the pigmented cells. A program of monthly glycolic acid peels combined with strict sun avoidance can fairly quickly fade away all signs of excess facial pigmentation. Often only two or three peels are necessary, but sun protection will need to be continued for many months to prevent the pigmentation from recurring.

At Home Peel

Deep peels should be performed only under medical supervision. However, a mild glycolic acid peel can safely be performed at home. Purchase or prepare a 30% glycolic acid solution. Dissolve a half-cup of baking soda in two cups of water. Apply petroleum jelly to the lips and around the eyes- anywhere you don’t want the acid to touch. Carefully wipe the acid onto the face.

After five minutes, begin washing the face with the baking soda solution. Use up all of the solution, and then wash the face well with plenty of water. Pat dry and carefully moisturize. The skin may become reddened after this treatment, as if it had received a sunburn. After it heals, the pigmentation should be noticeably reduced in intensity if sun exposure was successfully prevented. Peels can be repeated every four weeks until the pigmentation resolves.

Stay Beautiful: Tips for Hair, Skin and Makeup

You don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on salon visits or expensive products to get amazing hair, skin and nails. Learn to think for yourself. Use preventive measures and do not let dazzling commercials have you rushing to the nearest store to buy their product.

If you suffer from dry, thin hair then the harsh chemicals found in hair colors or shampoos are not the best option. Hair is slightly elastic and some hair types are sensitive to heat and chemical abuse. Thick, lustrous locks are just as vulnerable to these horrors.

If you suffer from split ends, try using a few drops of camellia, almond or coconut oil on the ends of your hair. These not only mask split ends but will help strengthen hair.

Mixing egg and mayonnaise is a great 10-minute hair mask, add cinnamon or another scent to counter the smell. Although lemon juice is a fantastic cleanser, natural shampoo bars are a better alternative for your hair.

For foxy redheads with dry, thinning locks after each passing color treatment, look into the benefits of henna. Henna dyes the hair shaft, does not deposit damaging chemicals into the cuticles and conditions naturally. If you have dark or unwanted color then the easiest way to start fresh and grow it out without enduring the “dip-dye” effect is to use a color remover such as Color Oops.

Try drinking water regularly to flush toxins and keep you hydrated. Dermatologists and beauty experts will also swear by eating freshwater fish and antioxidant rich foods like green leafy vegetables and berries.

Coffee addicts will be happy to know many argue that coffee also falls under the antioxidant list. Working out even a couple of times a week helps with circulation and has been known to improve complexion. Moreover, getting enough sleep is important for preventing tired dry skin.

Regarding which products to use, start with a 3-step gentle cleanser, toner and moisturizer. Shop around and look online for reviews to find products suitable for your skin type. Try tinted BB creams for a moisturizer and foundation in one. Want to look more beautiful? See Shakura Pigmentation Review

Steps For Applying Cat Eyeliner

To look fantastic you need beautiful skin, hair and great mascara. You can apply eyeliner to your upper lid above the lash. Optionally, you can follow on with the lower lash by gently pulling your lower lid down and keeping eyeliner above the lower lash line. Try using eye pencils if you find liquid liners are too much of a hassle. If you must use eye-shadow, try to keep it soft and natural to bring out your true beauty.

Beauty Treatment Guide: For Your Eyes

One of the biggest problems for many people, particularly as they age is areas under the eye areas that are prone to dark circles, bags and wrinkles. Dark circles and bags aren’t necessarily restricted to aging. Women of any age can suffer from this problem as bags under the eyes can be brought on by variety of causes, including allergy and sinus problems.

If you suffer from bags, dark circles and puffiness you might be pleased to know you don’t have to simply with it. There are a variety of under the eye treatments that will have you looking bright and beautiful in no time. Many bags, dark circles and puffiness can be easily treated at home, with natural methods, or by store bought creams and other beauty remedies.

One of the most popular methods for restoring the skin under the eyes is using cucumber slices or tea bags to soak into the skin for 10-15 minutes in the morning for make-up applications. This remedy does work, but it is a temporary fix, and is most likely meant for those that don’t experience the problem on a regular basis. If you experience daily bags and circles in the morning this would need to be part of a daily beauty regimen.

How To Avoid Puffy Eyes

There are also a myriad of under-eye treatment beauty products that are much more effective than the natural methods. Some work better than others, and if you’ve bought many different creams and none of them seem to be very effective you may be using the wrong type of creams for your skin. Simply because a product says anti-aging does not necessarily mean it solves dark circles and bags. The most effective products are those that treat bags, circles and skin problems at the cellular level. You should look for products that firm skin, improve elasticity, and that target the structure of your skin.

In extreme cases when natural and beauty care treatment remedies aren’t effective, there are surgical procedures that will create a lasting, more permanent solution. Make sure you investigate this method only after trying beauty creams, treatments and consulting with skin therapists. Surgery is invasive, and requires pain and recuperation, as with any surgery. You should only consider it after all other methods are exhausted.

If you’ve tried all other methods and are still dissatisfied you should consult with a plastic surgeon about a surgical eye lift, which is the most permanent solution. You should also be prepared to spend a few thousand dollars to see results. If you think that sounds like too high a price to pay consider dermatology and message therapy. They can often restore the skin with intense beauty treatments involving laser and message technologies.

Cellulite In Men: Truth Or Myth?

One of the main complaints that women have about their bodies is the appearance of cellulite that is prone to appear in several areas after entering adulthood or gaining weight. It is often most present in areas where fat is stored, which includes the thighs, buttocks, and even the lower abdomen where the skin has begun to form dimples. Although women may feel like they’re alone with the skin condition, cellulite in men is also known to occur. An estimated two percent of those with cellulite are men, proving that some people are still prone to acquiring the condition despite their gender.

Men may increase in their overall weight from time to time, but will not be able to spot cellulite as easily as women due to their lack of estrogen. Estrogen fat cells naturally clump together and create the dimples that make cellulite for fat that is less dispersed. Men also have thicker skin than women, which makes it difficult for the cellulite to appear as easily in areas of fat. Women also have thicker subcutaneous fat pads, which makes the cellulite become more apparent.

Another common cause of cellulite being more present in women than men is because women often store more fat and tend to weigh more. Women naturally have a higher percentage of body fat, especially after having children. For women, a healthy range of body fat is 20 to 25 percent as men should be in the 10 to 15 percent range. Cellulite is also dependent on hereditary factors due to the anatomy of the skin, but has been known to affect women throughout the world and in different cultures for a condition that is not uncommon to certain heritages.

Another common reason that you may not find a man complaining about his cellulite is due to the fact that the fat in a man’s body tends to be stored further away from the skin and is deposited in a different way than a woman’s body. When men do get cellulite, it is most commonly found on their necks or abdomens.

Although cellulite is often more present for those who are overweight, it can still be a problem for individuals who are within their recommended weight range due to a lack of muscle or a sedentary lifestyle. Poor blood circulation can also contribute to cellulite and make it easier to form. Other causes include hormonal levels, consuming an excess of alcohol, or even smoking for several exterior factors that can tamper with hormones.

For women, cellulite can begin to appear as early as the teenage years as the body begins to grow and develop with a change in hormonal levels. By staying active and mobile each day, it will work to combat the skin condition and reduce the overall appearance for skin that is more firm and taut for both genders. Drinking more water will also help for hydrated and healthy skin, as well as maintaining a balanced diet and reducing stress levels. Cellulite can take several months to reduce in appearance, but can effectively disappear with the right habits formed.

Topical creams can also aid in the process of reducing cellulite for men and women due to the caffeine, aminophylline, and theophyilline that is present for chemicals that work to break down the body’s fat and create a smoother appearance. Although the topical creams that are available on the market are proven to work effectively, they do not reduce the appearance of cellulite completely and should be used in conjunction with a caloric-restricted diet and exercise.
